Shane O’Brien, 31, was charged on Friday evening after arriving back in the UK following his extradition from Romania, the Metropolitan police said. Hanson, from Kingsbury in north-west London, was knifed to death in the RE Bar in Hillingdon, west London, in October 2015. A postmortem examination gave the cause of death as haemorrhage, inhalation of blood and an incised wound to the neck. O’Brien, originally from Ladbroke Grove, west London, was detained in Cluj-Napoca last month and arrived at Heathrow airport at 7.30pm on Friday.
