A 23-year-old Ottawa man is facing dangerous driving and criminal negligence charges after a crash on the Gardiner Expressway in Etobicoke last week killed a man and injured three other people. The crash happened on the westbound Gardiner Expressway just east of Royal York Rd on March 21. The 23-year-old man was behind the wheel of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata when he tried re-entering the highway from the shoulder, Toronto police later said. A 32-year-old man driving a 2005 BMW collided with the Hyundai. A 28-year-old man in the Hyundai was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died a day later.
