Man burns self to death in CebuBy RHEA RUTH ROSELLhome/News/Regions/At a Glance/Man burns self to death in CebuA MAN believed to be under the influence of illegal drugs burned himself to death inside his bedroom in Sitio YLE, Barangay Basak in Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday. The Lapu-Lapu City Fire Department identified the fatality as Norman Oyao, 56. Senior Fire Officer 2 Climaco Salisid said the 8 a.m. blaze was immediately placed under control by Oyao’s neighbors. Salisid added that they were still investigating Oyao’s motive in setting himself on fire. “There were allegations that he was under the influence of illegal drugs, but this was subject to confirmation,” he told The Manila Times.
