BEIJING: Police are looking for a man who tried to steal black swans’ eggs in a park in eastern China and then deliberately stepped on one when passers-by confronted him. The man climbed over a fence and took four eggs from a black swan, which is a protected species in China. He put two eggs back after a middle aged woman hit him, the Beijing Youth Daily reported, quoting a tourist at the scene. “The man got booed by people who were touring around the lake, but he ignored us,” the tourist said. Another social media user said the man also kicked the wings of two black swans trying to protect the eggs.
