One person died in a fire at a downtown Toronto apartment building Thursday night. The blaze happened around suppertime Thursday at the Toronto Community Housing building on 291 George St., near Dundas St. E., leaving at least 60 residents homeless overnight. Hall, who lives on the first floor, saw Belanger return from the hospital Thursday afternoon. TCHC interim CEO Greg Spearn said the man killed in the fire “had some vulnerability issues” and was cared for by three or four support agencies.
