A man went berserk and hacked his wife, their two children with an axe at Thua village Kitui county on Thursday night. Residents woke up to a shocking scene of the 44-year-old's wife and children lying in a pool of blood. Kitui county police commander Antony Kamitu said an investigation was on course to establish why the man killed his 34-year-old wife, daughter, 14, and the young son. "We have the incident report about the murder but we are investigating the motive," Kamitu told the Star on the phone. The bodies were removed from the scene and taken to the Kitui Level 4 hospital mortuary.
