Police have arrested an man southwest of Christchurch after a manhunt that led to schools in the Rolleston community going into lockdown. In a statement, police confirmed the man had been arrested "without incident" in the Weedons/Rolleston area around midday. "Police would like to thank members of the public for the assistance and patience while we looked to locate him. The school has since confirmed there is "no danger" and students have been let out. West Rolleston Primary School also entered lockdown for a short period.
