On April 9, the Lincoln Police Department responded to a reported shooting an apartment in the 1100 block of G Street at about noon. When Officers arrived, they found John Armstrong, 52, of Lincoln, with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Jacob Mulloy, 53, of Lincoln, turned himself in when police arrived and was cooperating with officers at the scene. Mulloy and Armstrong were involved in a scuffle before the shooting about Armstrong entering Mulloy's residence without permission. At some point during the altercation, Mulloy shot Armstrong in the face and then attempted to do CPR, police say.
