A man has been arrested for the murder of five people, including two teenage boys, who were shot and killed on Monday (7 August) in Mbekweni.. The victims were later identified as Zimkhitha Solani (39), Olwethu Sompani (34), Chandre Horn (32), Ntlantla Solani (14) and Simphiwe Solani (12). “The suspect, an alleged drug dealer and criminal in the area, fled the scene," said Vanqa. ""He is the cousin of Zimkhitha and they, together with Olwethu, were well-known in Mbekweni for robbing people and housebreaking." Police investigation led to a 43-year-old man Makhaya Cekiso being arrested, and he made his first appearance at the Paarl Magistrates Court this morning.
