The woman was raped on Friday nightPolice arrested a man, pursuant to a case filed for raping a woman of ethnic-minority, in Durgapur Upazila, Rajshahi. Jahangir Alam, 35, was sent to jail on Monday afternoon, after he was produced before the court, confirmed Durgapur police station Officer-in-charge, Abdul Motaleb. According to case details, the woman was raped by Jahangir on Friday night when she went to bring water from a tube well. "The woman filed a case in the early hours of Monday and she was later on sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for tests, " said OC Motaleb.
