The incident took place in Khanjapur village, Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district around 6am, April 19. Acting Company Commander of RAB 8, Madaripur camp, Debashish Karmakar said: "The victim girl was picking garlic from a nearby garlic field. Acting on the case we conducted a drive in the area and arrested Jamal [on Monday] at the house of one of his relatives. Medical check-ups of the victim girl have been done."
