The Badin police arrested on Saturday a man accused of vandalising a makeshift Hindu temple in a remote area of Badin district. An FIR has been registered against the arrested suspect, Muhammad Ismail alias Chatto Sheedi, on behalf of complainant Ashok Kumar. Kumar said Ismail damaged the idols kept in the temple and fled. A Badin police spokesperson told The Express Tribune that SHO Kario Ghanwar Asghar Sathio, along with his team, arrested Ismail within a few hours of the registration of FIR. Meanwhile, Badin SSP Shabeer Sethar has sought an inquiry report on the matter from relevant police within 24 hours.
