Police were called to the scene, on King St. W. near Spadina Ave., at around 1:30 p.m. following reports that a person had been hit on the sidewalk. Toronto police arrested a suspect after a vehicle hit two pedestrians on a downtown sidewalk early Saturday afternoon. Both victims were taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. A flowerpot and some lawn furniture that had been on display were also knocked over by the vehicle. Police arrested the male driver of the vehicle at the scene.
