A security guard needed stitches after allegedly being punched in the lip early this morning in Queenstown. Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka, of Queenstown, said a 24-year-old Auckland man allegedly hit the doorman at 1am outside Winnes bar and restaurant in the mall. The victim's lower lip was split and needed three stitches. The 24-year-old would appear in the Queenstown Lakes District Court charged with assault on Monday. - By Mandy Cooper
