Man arrested after car hijacked at knifepoint in DublinBy Gráinne Ní Aodha, PAGardaí have made an arrest after a car was hijacked at knifepoint in Dublin in the early hours of Friday morning. A man was in his car stopped at traffic lights in the Clondalkin area when he was approached by another man brandishing a knife. Gardaí located the car unoccupied and the suspect, a man aged in his 30s, was arrested nearby. The man is being detained at a Garda station in west Dublin under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. An appeal for witnesses has been issued, particularly to anyone who was travelling on Belgard Road or the Clondalkin area between 2am and 3am.
