Manchester United fans dreaming of an end to the Glazer era of ownership could have their prayers answered before too long, with Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reported to be eyeing a takeover bid. The Saudi prince has been linked with a takeover of Premier League rivals Newcastle United throughout January. Mike Ashley reportedly wants £340million to sell the Magpies, a price the prince could be willing to pay. Newcastle fans are desperate for a change of ownership after 13 years at the helm. During that time, he has become fiercely unpopular at St James’ Park, and fans have held numerous protest against his leadership.
