United have been in talks with David De Gea over a new contract but as of yet, no new deal has been agreed. AdvertisementAdvertisementUnited have submitted a bid for Onana but Ajax, who value the Cameroon international at €40 million (£35m), have rejected the offer. United are also unwilling to meet Ajax’s asking price for Onana and are considering Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as an alternative signing. Cillessen, who joined Barcelona from Ajax, is valued in excess of €25m (£22m) by the Spanish champions but would be a cheaper alternative to Onana for United.
