The England international has endured a miserable debut campaign at the Theatre of Dreams with injuries restricting him to just 12 appearances following his £55million summer transfer. Mount hasn’t played since injuring his calf in Novemver’s 1-0 win over Luton Town but will be included in the squad which faces Jurgen Klopp’s quadruple chasers on Sunday. ‘I’ve had some opportunities over the course of the last two years to go into the Championship or League One and for whatever reason haven’t pursued those. I think that’s incredibly attractive for a first-time head coach.
