Manchester United plan to raise at least £100million from the off this summer by selling four academy players, including Mason Greenwood , according to reports. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to make a splash in his first transfer window as part-owner and pure profit from academy sales is expected to be part of a broader clear-out to boost the budget. Last summer, United confirmed that he wasn't expected to feature from the club again but they would support the 22-year-old in resuming his career elsewhere. And Ratcliffe appears likely to stick to that stance later this year, with Greenwood representing an excellent opportunity to secure pure profit to boost United's budget and ease Financial Fair Play restrictions. It's claimed that United hope to also raise pure profit from selling Alvaro Fernandez and Hannibal Mejbri, who have joined Benfica and Sevilla on loan this month, with buy options in their contracts.
