Bruno Fernandes' comments in an interview with the Portuguese football federation about being 'hurt' at feeling Manchester United were willing to sell him in the summer have created a flurry of headlines. What should not be forgotten is that Fernandes knew all this before he decided to stay at United this season. He told UK journalists recently the driving force behind that decision was his wife asking him if he had achieved all he wanted to at the club. I had previously been told Fernandes was not interested in joining the Saudi Pro League and my understanding is that remains the case. If he leaves next summer - and that depends on where United finish this season - it is anticipated it will be to another of the 'big five' leagues.
