Man Utd news: Opinion - Harry Maguire's contract extension a 'positive' for Red Devils

In the latest episode of The Devils' Advocate podcast from BBC Radio Manchester, Joe McGrath and Gaz Drinkwater were full of praise for England centre-back Harry Maguire and said his contract extension announced on Tuesday is a "positive" for the club. McGrath said: "He is always there trying to get the best for United on and off the pitch, so I see that as a real positive move for the club to make." Since Maguire's £80m move from Leicester City to United in 2019, the centre-back has featured in 185 Premier League games for the Red Devils and been involved in 13 goals, scoring eight times. It became this ongoing joke because he made a few errors here or there in a very shaky Manchester United team. "You know what you're going to get from Harry Maguire and what he brings in experience and leadership, it is invaluable," added Drinkwater.
