Manchester United chief Woodward is currently the man in charge of transfers at Old Trafford, despite the Red Devils’ determination to hire a sporting director. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side require mass investment this summer after a nightmare campaign that saw them finish sixth in the Premier League table. Manchester United have already been linked with 60 players this transfer window, from established names such as Antoine Griezmann and Mauro Icardi to unknown quantities such as Daniel James and Sean Longstaff. However, the Independent say Woodward is struggling to complete some transfers this summer.
