The Manchester United under-23 side are in action against Reading tonight, but there are a number of interesting omissions, which hints a trio of players could be involved in the first team squad. James Garner, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong have been left out of tonight’s trip and could be involved in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad on Wednesday. United were ravaged by injuries on Sunday during their clash with Liverpool as Nemanja Matic dropped out before the game and Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford all took knocks. Rashford battled through and completed the 90 minutes but was struggling from deep inside the first half.
