Manchester United should make an attempt to lure Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards away from the Anfield club, claims European football expert Gabriele Marcotti. United’s transfer strategy has been heavily criticised in recent seasons, with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward under increased scrutiny for his role. Liverpool, meanwhile, have signed the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson since Edwards was promoted into his current job in November 2016.
