Manchester United made a late enquiry for Jean-Kevin Augustin before the player joined Leeds on loan from RB Leipzig for the rest of the season. That’s according to the Athletic, who claim Leeds were one of several English clubs targeting the striker. “Leeds conducted the process very diligently and thoroughly, where as Manchester United came to the table and others far too late and in a far too disorganised way. “It was a similar situation to the summer when Manchester United targeted Wissam Ben Yedder after losing Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan. “We don’t mean to dig Manchester United out here but it’s another example of business that should have been done that didn’t get done.”Trending
