Manchester United have stepped up their interest Birmingham youngster Jude Bellingham with the January transfer window on the horizon. Assistant manager Mike Phelan watched the 16-year-old last weekend as Birmingham suffered a 3-2 home defeat to West Brom , in which he started. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is working on potential deals behind the scenes with the mid-season market opening in a couple of weeks.
