Sir Bobby’s wife, Lady Norma Charlton, has confirmed the news to The Telegraph and hopes knowledge of the 83-year-old’s diagnosis can help others. Earlier this week, Nobby Stiles, who played alongside Sir Bobby in England’s World Cup winning squad in 1966, died at the age of 78. Sir Bobby scored 249 goals in 758 appearances during his career at Manchester United.
