Hopes that an Illinois boy missing since 2011 had been found alive in Kentucky were dashed after the Federal Bureau of Investigation said the boy’s DNA didn’t match that of a person who claimed to be him and said he had just escaped two kidnappers. The family had said that the appearance of the person had given them the most hope of any day since the boy disappeared and that finding out he wasn’t the boy was devastating.
