Man City spark angry row with disabled fans over new parking charges

Manchester City have angered their disabled fans after introducing parking charges for matchdays just weeks before the beginning of the season. City have previously not charged their Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) for the 300 spots at the Etihad offered to the group for every match but wrote to them recently to inform them of immediate changes. This will snatch £4000 every game from disabled fans and put it directly into club coffers. "Manchester City have been considered one of the leading clubs in the world for the provision of disabled facilities and for their support for disabled fans and disabled people in the wider community," it read. The statement added: "Many fans have called this a betrayal of loyal supporters and a sign of corporate greed to penalise disabled fans, who often make huge additional sacrifices to attend matches.
