With both out of contract in less than 18 months time, it is hoped that a significant offer will be enough to convince the Premier League giants to part ways with the pair. Two high-profile City player were sold to the Middle East last summer, namely Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte. Furthermore, the treble winners are ‘relaxed’ about the situation and could even offer their star player a contract extension. City have the chance to close the gap to league leaders Liverpool to just one point on Saturday evening when they travel to Bournemouth.
