Manchester City look to have emerged relatively unscathed from their pre-season friendlies despite a number of injury scares. Ederson didn't train before the final match and sat it out, Erling Haaland suffered niggles against Barcelona, Josh Wilson-Esbrand suffered a hamstring issue against Chelsea and Rico Lewis also pulled up. City are already expected to be without a number of first-team players for the Community Shield having granted extra time off following international commitments this summer. Guardiola has warned that City may get off to a slow start given the summer they have had. A relatively young squad has featured in all four of their friendlies so far because they had more players than any other team at the European Championship.
