The club have confirmed they are working with police after an assault following Wednesday night's Champions League victory over Schalke. A club statement read: " Manchester City are aware of an alleged assault after the match at the VELTINS-Arena in Germany last night. City led 1-0 in Germany thanks to Sergio Aguero's opener but Schalke controversially pulled level, and then went ahead, thanks to two Nabil Bentaleb penalties. And Sterling popped up with a dramatic winner to ensure City lead 3-2 ahead of the return match at the Etihad on March 12. City return to action in the final of the Carabao Cup against Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.
