A 71-year-old man charged with raping a job seeker at City Park forest on Thursday became emotional when the magistrate told him that he will be jailed for 10 years or serve life imprisonment if he maintained his stand. Emmanuel Mateka Malele pleaded guilty to raping PLM on April 19 at 5.30pm at City Park. The prosecution told the court that when they met at Huruma, Malele walked with her until City Park and he unleashed a knife. She reported to the police that the accused person told her that they were waiting for the employer to leave the mosque so that they could accompany him. The accused person then pulled out a knife, took her bag and stole Sh300 from her.
