Peel Regin police have arrested a 56-year-old man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga on Friday. Kenneth Buffan of Mississauga was arrested and charged with failure to remain causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Police say that 45-year-old Penny Cousard of Mississauga was operating an electric mobility wheelchair near the intersection of Dixie Road and Lakeshore Road around 6:40 a.m. when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver was travelling southbound on Dixie Road when the victim, who was travelling north in the southbound bicycle lane, was struck.
