Essex Police said detectives would soon contact those who were at the party when Mr Lubbock was found floating in an outdoor swimming pool in the early hours of March 31, 2001. Butcher Mr Lubbock and eight others, including 68-year-old Barrymore, were at the party at the star's luxury home in Roydon, Essex. Barrymore was criticised for leaving his home soon after Mr Lubbock was found floating in the outside pool. A post-mortem examination showed Mr Lubbock had suffered severe internal injuries which suggested he had been sexually assaulted.
