Man, 47, docked for obtaining N1.7m worth of diesel under false pretenceA 47-year-old man, Morruf Adeyemi, was on Tuesday docked at a Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for allegedly obtaining 30,000 litres of diesel valued at N1.7 million under false pretence. Adeyemi, whose address was unknown, is facing a two-count charge of obtaining money under false pretence and breach of peace. He said that the defendant dishonestly converted N1.7 million from the sale of 30,000 litres of diesel under false pretence from Mr Idowu Sunday. “The defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by instigating people against Sunday. “The offences contravened Sections 312 and 166 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015,” he said.
