The unnamed patient was initially admitted to intensive care at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center with heart problems. Medics have now shared a picture of the man's intact right bronchial tree and documented the incident with the New England Medical Journal of Medicine. He then spontaneously coughed up the right bronchial tree, which consists of three segmental branches and five segmental branches. But sadly a week later the man died from complications of heart failure.
