Bampumim Teixeira, 33, was convicted of first-degree murder Tuesday after stabbing Dr. Lina Bolanos, 38, from Colombia, and her fiance, British-born Dr. Richard Field, 49, to death in May 2017. Teixeira had earlier warned Suffolk County assistant district attorney John Pappas: 'You better hope I never get out of jail. Earlier in his trial, crime scene photos were released showing the words 'he killed my wife' scrawled on the wall of the murder scene, along with marks crossing out Field's face in several family photos. Hospital president John Fernandez told the Guardian: 'Dr Bolanos was an outstanding paediatric anaesthetist and a wonderful colleague in the prime of both her career and life.'
