The gory incident took place after a misunderstanding between the suspect and his mother. Residents of Tepa Esushyiaye where the incident occurred have been thrown into a state of shock. An eyewitness, Kofi Adusei, who explained the details of the incident said the suspect decapitated his mother as she tried disarming him of a knife he wielded. “He cut her two hands and the two legs like he was slaughtering an animal,” Mr Adusei added.
