Now, the 28-year-old is the co-owner of multi-million-pound clothing brand Gymshark and is worth an eye-watering £700million. Gymshark, which is now based in Solihull and employs 550 people, sells "comfortable" gym clothes which are longer, stretchier and have no seams. Ben, who started out doing a business and management degree at Aston University, always knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur. Keen to design clothes, Ben asked his grandmother - who made curtains - to teach him how to sew. In August 2020, the company sold a 21% stake to US private equity firm General Atlantic in a deal which valued the company in excess of £1billion.
