General News of Saturday, 30 March 2019Source: Dailymailgh.comMan, 25, dies in binge drinking competitionFile photo: AkpeteshieA 25-year-old man, Patrick Obeng Hamza, lost his life in a local gin – Akpeteshie – drinking competition at Ntankoful in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis – 225km by road from the capital, Accra. The police said the incident happened Thursday. The incident which has left the youth in a state of shock saw the deceased consuming two bottles of the strong local liquor. He was rushed to a Clinic at Ntankoful where he was pronounced dead. According to locals, one other collapsed during the binge competition but was revived after being given some food.
