Emergency services rushed to the A34 Congleton Road, near Marton, Cheshire, after an officer found the wreckage of a Mini Cooper at around 3am this morning. A 22-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Congleton, in Cheshire, were confirmed dead at the scene. A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "An investigation has been launched after two people died in a collision in Marton, near Congleton. "At around 3am o an officer came across a car that had collided with a tree on Congleton Road. "Formal identification has not yet taken place but they are believed to be a 22-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman both from the Congleton area.
