The body of a woman with her throat slit was found from a house in Dawood Goth in Saeedabad on Monday. The police arrived on the spot upon being informed and shifted the body to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. According to Saeedabad SHO Imran Afridi, Rasheeda’s husband, Ghulam Hussain had apparently murdered her following a domestic dispute. He added that Hussain had fled after her death, but the police had recovered the murder weapon. According to SHO Afridi, a case against Hussain had been registered on behalf of Rasheeda’s brother and further investigation was underway.
