Maltese special forces seized control of a merchant ship on Thursday after it was commandeered by migrants who refused to be taken back to Libya, in a sign of the continuing migration tensions in the Mediterranean Sea as Europe cracks down on migration. The ship, a Turkish oil tanker, rescued a large group of people in the Mediterranean earlier in the week.
