A man in his 30s has life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a driver in North York early Friday morning, Toronto paramedics say. Around 4:30 a.m., paramedics were called to the area of Sheppard Avenue West and Allen Road for reports of a collision. It’s been a deadly year on Toronto roads this year, with four pedestrians killed this year already. According to statistics compiled by the Star using police and media reports, 42 pedestrians were killed on Toronto streets in 2019.
