REMBAU: A male dormitory at the As-Sofa Islamic High School in Kampung Chengkau here was destroyed in a fire at 1.58am this morning. Rembau Fire and Rescue Department chief Mohd Fuad Majid said three fire engines and 20 firemen rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call. The hostel’s warden then contacted the Fire and Rescue Department for help. He said no casualties were reported and investigations are ongoing to identify the cause of the incident. On Sept 28 last year, the school’s female dormitory, which housed 37 students, was destroyed in a fire at about 1.50am.
