The number of males rose from 16.74 million (in 3Q 2018) to 16.85 million while the number of females increased from 15.69 million to 15.78 million. “The composition of population aged 0-14 years old (young age) in 3Q 2019 decreased from 7.68 million in 3Q 2018 to 7.57 million. The population aged 15–64 years old (working age) increased from 22.64 million (3Q 2018) to 22.85 million in the same quarter this year. “Similarly, the composition of population 65 years and over (old-age) increased from 2.12 million to 2.21 million during the same period. A total of 41,772 deaths was recorded in 3Q 2019, down by 0.9% from 3Q 2018 (42,156).
