PETALING JAYA: Malaysians are known for their obsession with food and 21-year-old Lee Shen Ming is no exception. Having grown up in Malaysia, Lee said she was raised in a home that nurtured her love for cooking and hospitality. After nine months of interviewing and writing, the book was finally published by New Degree Press and released in April. Food production in the 21st century, said Lee, was facing challenges as it had to produce more nutritious food to feed a population estimated to reach 10 billion by 2050. She urged the public to be more aware of the decisions they make regarding the food they buy and consume to contribute to a more sustainable food system.
