Malaysians in Singapore want clearer SOP for travelling

JOHOR BARU: While many Malaysians in Singapore are looking forward to return under the Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) and the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) schemes starting today, some are still confused with the standard operating procedure (SOP). Povan said his calls to the state Health and Immigration Departments, as well as the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore, went unanswered. Malaysian Singapore Worker Task Force president S. Dayalan said he received similar complaints from Malaysians. When contacted about the SOP, Johor Health director Dr Aman Rabu said only official statements from Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob could be implemented. On Thursday, Johor Immigration director Baharuddin Tahir said that applications to travel under the RGL and PCA were fully booked from Aug 17, 18 and 19.
