PETALING JAYA: Malaysian actress Sarah Lian (pic) took home the Best Supporting Actress award at the Los Angeles Film Awards (Lafa) for her role as Anna in Dax Phelan's directorial feature film Jasmine. "I won Best Supporting Actress at LA Film Awards! Thank you to the LA Film Awards for such an honour! It swept an additional five awards: Best Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Honorable Mention for Sound Design. The film, which premiered at the Hong Kong International Film Festival in 2015, has won numerous accolades worldwide, including the London Independent Film Awards, International Independent Film Awards, Nevada International Film Festival and an International New York Film Festival award.
